Don't let anyone humiliate you about going to get help when you need it. That's what its for. Local and federal governments create programs like this to assist families and individuals who have low income or are experiencing financial hardships.

 

 

 

 

 

Try your Department of Human Services or Social Services.
Don't let anyone humiliate you about going to get help when you need it. That's what its for. The Department of Human Services can tell you if you qualify for utility assistance or energy assistance, food stamps, Medicaid and TANF, temporary assistance for needy families.

Try your local church.
They usually have funds to help families that are struggling to make ends meet.

Check the back of your light bill.
They should have a phone number to call if you need help. They will also be able to provide you with a list of agencies that may be able to help pay your light bill.

If i do not pay 285. by days end on 7/06/2010, my electric is getting shut off. I had breast cancer and husband left me. Support has been ordered but not paid yet. I have no resources to get it paid tomorrow. I don't know what to do. JR

Im working odd jobs and nobody help me ligt off they say i have to have a income what i make isnt enough now what i been with out lights for five months i need help

i have lost my jobs about to loose my home and my lights are getting ready to be shut off.I have tried eveey program i know of and they wont help us dont know what else to do I have a wife and 2 girls please let me know what i can do.

i have mortage and electric due at the same time and cant aford to pay both,having car problems,and if i dont get help paying our bill i will lose my job.is there any way anyone can help

I've been without electric for months just using a genorator i have five kids 2,4,9,12,16 and what i use in gas monthly is around 1,400.00 some times i dont know if i'll have the money for the genorator my bill with aps is 1,850.00 i have already paid them 1,400.00 plus 755.00 dep they turned on nothing when they were suppose to. then went without for a while used genorator then gave them 32.00 paid prior bill 790.00 deposit had my electric on for two in a half weeks then they told me i was getting my electric shut off because of a bill that my sons x girlfriend owed and it was for a house off of 62nd ave and maryland not even my house because they said she was living with me at my house she is on food stamps is not working and has my grandkids 5 of them i can only do so much i don't have alot of money either im so tapped my account is overdrawn iv'e had service with aps for over 40 yrs and they could not help or work with me i have only 2 fans so hot sometimes can't afford anything she can't either i was trying to help someone now to get on thier feet thats not even possible now shes more strapped then ever and so am i sometimes we go without tried to get help noone has helped us. 6234185069 if anyone knows someone that can help god bless.

I had cancer surgery in 08.They removed my vocal cords.I cannot work and my husband has alzheimers and he gets social security.My 83 year old mom lives with us and tomorrow they are going to cut our lights off if we dont pay them 75 dollars.I paid them 200 the beginning of month but they tack on 10 dollar late fee so they want 75 by tomorrow.I breathe through hole in neck and my husband has a pacemaker,i am afraid we will die without some relief.We receive meals on wheels.

I alan have not worked since 2002 a real job.as I quit that I'm managing the bills plus my dauther & son in law moved in with us. and I feel like everything has fallen on me. I took on a lot bills aNd stayed on top of them .until I Got the bill of 435.45 my regular bill is around 210.00.I don't know how to paY it

Will I don't know what to say this for my sister and her five kids there got cut off about two days ago. but the bill is outrages.and to get it cut back on she need about 900.00 to 1800.00 to get it back her youngest child is sick and need meds and stuff so if any one can help or know any one that will help wrtie we on my email okay thanks
